The healthcare system is continually changing, and the jobs and positions within it are changing too. Today’s community health centers, long-term care facilities, and medical practices need their nonclinical healthcare workers to work as part of a high-functioning medical team.
Our certificate program was designed using insights from workforce and industry leaders about what skills today’s nonclinical professionals must possess to improve patient care, satisfaction, and outcomes. The project-focused certificate program will help working adults succeed in their current roles, while also preparing students for new and expanded roles within the healthcare industry.
If you are interested in continuing your education, this certificate is “stackable” so once you earn this certificate, you are halfway to an associate degree.
The Certificate in Healthcare Management Fundamentals was created in collaboration with Partners HealthCare, with a Health Care Workforce Transformation Fund grant, administered by Commonwealth Corporation, and provided through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development.
Students work toward a certificate by mastering 60 competencies and completing interesting online projects at their own pace.
